Rain and hail caused major problems for Monument and Colorado Springs. Video courtesy of Severe Videos
Major flooding occurred in Monument and Colorado Springs last week.
Exasperated by burn scars from recent wildfires, a river of water raged down from the mountains. US 24 was closed for hours, and Monument experienced severe mudslides.
So much hail fell in Colorado Springs that the snow plows were called out to clear it from the roads.
At one point, over four feet of water was standing on I-25, flooding cars and bringing traffic to a standstill.
